1. Loyal is one of the largest private provincial foster based rescue in Ontario!
2. Our volunteers and foster homes span from Ohio, Michigan, New York and from Sarnia to Ottawa.
3. LOYAL is two years old and we have helped give hope and new homes to 400 dogs
4. LOYAL's president works full time in investments.
5. LOYAL has helped rescue dogs as far south as Georgia and Alabama all the way up to North of Toronto! A dog in need, is a dog in need.
6. We receive applications for our dogs from all over - I did one in NS and one from MI - but we don't ship dogs!!
7. Our dogs are helped by 20 volunteers or more - that all do one hour legs (usually around 10 or more transport legs) that are involved with any given dog from the time it leaves death row at a pound until it arrives into foster care and is adopted out. It's a big investment of time, money and gas, just to get a dog from a rural high kill shelter, into foster and the into a great home!
8. The average adoption donation is $350 but the cost of vetting usually exceeds the adoption fee by a couple hundred dollars, sometimes thousands more then adopters realize!
9. Our foster homes are amazing, they treat the dogs like their very own, and teach dogs how to trust again, especially those coming from puppy mills. Some of our dogs from puppy mills have never walked on solid ground (only rabbit cages) and have never walked on stairs. Our foster homes are patient, compassionate and caring people! That's what we look for in adopters.
10. Our organization is constantly growing - new volunteers, new foster homes, new events... there is no limit to what we wouldn't do to help animals!

Hi MacGregrrrr,
I am a foster home for Loyal Rescue. All of our dogs are completely vetted before adoption. This includes all their vaccinations & spay/neuter. Senior dogs normally need to have dental work done as well. As well some dogs need extra medical attention. Back in the spring I took in three coon hound pups from a shelter where they were going to be euthanized. These three were extremely sick and spent a week in the animal hospital. There vet bill for treatment was over $1000. I don't think the $400 fee is too much, especially when you take into consideration the amount the vet bills are. I do commend you on adopting from a rescue and not a puppy mill or pet store! Enjoy your little ones!
